 Nursing training began at the Okinawa Army Field Hospital located at Haebaru National Elementary School

 At midnight, students were mobilized from the school to the Army Field Hospital. After the mobilization, the students were divided among the headquarters section, kitchen section, nursing section, and the miscellaneous task section, and carried out the digging of caves and transporting of sanitary equipment.

 Sixteen third- and fourth-year students from the First Girls' High School were reassigned to the 32nd Army Accounting Division (commonly called the Tsukazan Accounting Division).

 The Army Hospital retreated to the south. By that time, eight students had been killed and two severely injured. On the way to the south, one student died.

 Arrival in present-day Ihara, Itoman City. The students were assigned to the Yamashiro Hospital Headquarters Cave, Namihira First Surgical Cave, Itosu Second Surgical Cave, Ihara Third Surgical Cave, and Ihara-Itokazu Branch Clinic Cave (later Ihara First Surgical Cave).

 The 32nd Army Headquarters Accounting Division (Tsukazan Accounting Division) retreated to the south.

 The students at the Ichinichibashi and Shikina Branch Clinics joined the group at the Ihara Third Surgical Cave.

 The Yamashiro Hospital Headquarters Cave received a direct bomb hit. Two students who were calling at the cave as messengers were killed.

 Since the director of the hospital was killed, the students at the Yamashiro Hospital Headquarters Cave were moved to the Ihara Third Surgical Cave and Oota Cave. On the same day, some of the students at the Namihira First Surgical Cave moved to the Ihara First Surgical Cave.

 Shells exploded near the entrance of the Ihara First Surgical Cave. Three students were killed, and many others were injured.

 The Itosu Second Surgical Cave came under a concentrated attack from U.S. forces. Many students moved to the Ihara First Surgical Cave during the night. That night, the deactivation order was issued to the students in each cave. Between the retreat to the south and the deactivation, eight students died.

 The U.S. forces mounted an assault on the Ihara Third Surgical Cave. Four teachers as well as 38 students were killed. Of the 18 teachers and 222 students who were mobilized for hospital work, 13 teachers and 123 students died. Of those, 107 people died after the deactivation of the corps.
